Sunday Sketch Challenge | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I am here today with this week's Sunday Sketch challenge for Citrus Twist Kits!  I used the October Scrapbooking Add-on kit, the Life Crafted "Flourish" kit, and the This Is Life "Ready for This" stamp.

Here's a look at the sketch:

Here's my layout based on the sketch:

I loved the design of the sketch and followed it pretty closely, with only a few minor changes.  I chose to convert the sketch from a 12x12 layout to a Life Crafted album layout.  Instead of two smaller photos, I chose to use one larger portrait photo.  I followed the sketch and added some layers behind the photo using several ephemera pieces from the Add-on kit.  I also added a fussy cut floral, a few ephemera die-cuts, and some gold puffy leaf stickers around the photo.  The vintage lace trim from the Add-on kit was perfect to add to the ephemera tag.

I typed my journaling and added it in strips below the photo.  I also added some pink tiny word stickers to the edge of the photo, following the placement of the labels from the sketch.

On the right side of the layout, I trimmed a ledger patterned paper to fit as a full page in the album.  I created the title using a gold puffy word sticker and the Soft Mint Alphabet stickers, both from the Add-on kit.  I also used some pale pink alpha stickers from a previous Life Crafted kit.  I added some stamping to both pages of the spread using the "Ready for This" stamp and the LC kit stamp.  A trimmed ephemera tag was the perfect touch below the title. To finish off the layout, I added a bit of machine stitching using black thread to several areas around the spread.

I love how this Life Crafted layout turned out using this month's gorgeous kits!  I hope you will join in on this sketch challenge and share your layouts with us on the CTK Fan Facebook page or on Instagram using the hashtag #citrustwistkits.  I will see you again soon!

October Reveal Traveler's Notebook Layout | Elle's Studio

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a traveler's notebook layout using the NEW October Kit and Extras that released today at Elle's Studio!  The new kit is SO beautiful!  I used this month's release to create my first October gallery project- a layout in my Life Crafted album.

The colors and designs in the release are gorgeous- perfect for documenting Fall and Halloween memories! I used the Jewel Journaling Tags and the Autumn Wood Veneers, along with the NEW Jewel Polka Dot 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack and the Autumn Days 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack to create the left side of my spread. The Documented Stamp was the perfect addition to the tag.

I also used the new Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp Sets- Outline and Solid and black and light gray ink to stamp on the right side of the spread.  Elle's Studio stamps are always my favorite, and I am so excited about these new Jane Alphas!

I love how my layout turned out using these amazing goodies! Be sure to stop by the Elle's Studio shop to check out the October 2020 Kit and Add-ons!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will see you again soon!

Life Crafted Layout | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm sharing a Life Crafted layout using the gorgeous new Citrus Twist Kits October kits.  For my layout today, I used mainly the Scrapbooking Add-on kit, along with a few ephemera pieces and the stamp set from the Life Crafted Flourish kit.

Here's a look at the spread:

The Add-on kit this month is FULL of the Crate Paper Marigold collection.  It is beautiful!  To begin the layout, I trimmed a patterned paper to 5x8.25" to fit as a full page in the album.  This gave me more space for adding lots of layering.  I chose several pieces from the Marigold ephemera pack (included in the Add-on kit) to create a large embellishment cluster.  I love that the ephemera includes vellum and cardstock pieces for a bit variety.   I also added a few ephemera die cuts from the Life Crafted kit to the edges of the cluster.  A gold bow puffy sticker and a few other puffy stickers from the kit finished off this page.

Because the left side of the spread was a patterned background, I chose to use white cardstock as the base for the right page.  I trimmed it to 5x8.25" to fit as a full page.  I layered a patterned paper and some ephemera pieces behind my photo.  I loved the green floral die cut and chose to use it to frame the photo.  I used a gold puffy phrase sticker as the title for my layout, layering it over the edge of the photo.  The Marigold puffy stickers were perfect little embellishments for this page.

I cut out a tag from a patterned paper and added it to the bottom of the page.  I handwrote my journaling on a label and adhered it, along with a vellum floral ephemera piece and puffy butterfly sticker, to complete the cluster.  I trimmed a small piece of the lace trim, included in the Add-on kit, and added it to the tag.  To finish off the spread, I added some stamping using the LC kit stamp and did a bit of machine stitching with black thread on several areas of the page.

I love how this Life Crafted layout turned out using these amazing kits!
