Absolutely Love

Hello again!  It's been a while!  I love sharing all of my crafty projects with you, and I hope to make blogging more of a priority in the new year.

I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today sharing this fun traveler's notebook layout.  I used the Crazy Love cut file from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store to create this spread.

I used mainly the Citrus Twist December 2018 Main kit to create this layout.  I started by choosing the background paper, a patterned paper with a beautiful mixed media look but none of the work!  It is from the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection.  I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and backed it with a navy dot paper.  I just love the bold look of this cut file!

I layered some die cuts and puffy stickers from the American Crafts Journal Studio collection, and added the other portion of my title using Pink Paislee Thickers.
For the other page, I used more of the die cuts to layer behind my photo.  I then used the puffy stickers, die cuts and an arrow paper clip to embellish the page.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you will come back soon to see the new projects I am creating!

Say Hello to Fall

Hello!   Today I am sharing a project I created for The Cut Shoppe- a layout in my traveler's notebook album using the new Falling for You Traveler's Notebook Decorative Page cut file that can be found at The Cut Shoppe.

I love fall layouts and recording all the fun things we do during this season.  I thought this cut file would be perfect for my TN spread documenting a photo of my son taken last year at our local fair.

I started by cutting out the file using white cardstock.  I chose to use a piece of textured dot kraft cardstock as my base and love the way the cut file looks against it!  I used a fun wood veneer circle from Colorcast Designs as my title piece and layered it over the cut file.

I used some digital papers and elements from the Little Lamm Co. Gossamer collection, along with stamps from Feed Your Craft, and a wood/epoxy button sticker from Freckled Fawn.

I decided to cut out a few more of the leaves from the cut file to add to the page.  I like the way it helps the pages feel like one cohesive spread.

I did some stamping, typed my journaling on a label, and added a few staples using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, one of my favorite scrapbooking tools.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to use a cut file on your next project!

Octobers

Hello friends!  I'm here today sharing a spread in my traveler's notebook.  I created this fun, Autumn-inspired layout for The Cut Shoppe using the World of Octobers cut file.

I sized the cut file to fit on my TN page and cut it out using a digital wood grain patterned paper from my stash.  I used some papers from an older Fancy Pants collection called Golden Days to cut out the word "Octobers" and the leaf image.  I then backed the cut file with another patterned paper from the same collection.

I stamped some Autumn phrases at the top and bottom of the page using some Kellie Stamps and an older Gossamer Blue stamp set .  I love the added interest stamping provides!

For the other half of my spread, I printed a full page photo.  I love the look of large photos in my TN!

I did some stamping on patterned paper, a stamped tag for my journaling, and added a sentiment die cut and a puffy heart sticker.

Thank you for stopping by today to check out my latest project!  I hope you have been inspired to create something fun today!

Home

It's great to be back again today sharing a new layout in my ringed traveler's notebook.

I created this layout using the Felicity Jane Jeana digital kit along with some other Felicity Jane stamps and stickers from my stash.

I love the colors and theme of this kit and knew it would be perfect for documenting this photo of my home taken earlier this year.  My Bradford Pear tree was blooming and it's blooms almost looked like snow.

I sized the papers to 4.25" x 8.25" in Photoshop and printed them along with some of the digital ephemera and stamps that I knew I wanted to use on this spread.  I added the "my favorite place" digital stamp to the ombre paper before printing it.  I love this added detail!

I layered a piece of crate paper and some of the Jeana kit papers behind my photo, along with flowers from the kit that I had print and cut using my silhouette cameo.  Next, I stamped a few sentiments and a heart using one of my favorite Felicity Jane stamp sets.  I stapled one of the labels to the top of my photo for added interest and texture.

For the opposite page, I layered a tag and embroidery hoop, both from the digital ephemera.  I used puffy letter stickers for the title and added crochet thread to the tag.

I love how this layout came together!

Thanks for stopping by again today.  I have enjoyed sharing another layout with you!

Oh Happy Day

Hey friends!  I'm back with you today sharing a design team layout in my traveler's notebook that I created for The Cut Shoppe.  You can see my TCS blog post here.

I wanted to join in on the Go Big or Go Home Challenge on The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot Facebook Group for the month of August, and you can read more about it here.

I used two cut files from The Cut Shoppe on my spread- the Go with the Flow cut file (August's FREEBIE FRIYAY cut file) and the Flower Arrangement cut file.

I mainly used papers and embellishments from the Pinkfresh Studio Simple & Sweet collection to complete this spread about my sister's baby shower.  It was such a fun day celebrating the future arrival of my first niece!

I cut out the Go with the Flow cut file using white cardstock and backed it with vellum.  I layered some textured paper behind my photo, along with a floral ephemera piece.  I cut out a few flowers from the Flower Arrangement cut file, also using white cardstock.  This cut file is my favorite for layering behind my photos!

Next, I added some machine stitching in several spots for added texture.  It was fun using my sewing machine again.  Now that I have set up my new craft room, I have easier access to my sewing machine and will be using it on my layouts again.

I stamped my title using a Felicity Jane alpha set and finished it off with some Pinkfresh Studio puffy letter stickers.  For the final finishing touches, I layered on a few more ephemera pieces and puffy stickers.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my latest layout!

Really!?!

Hi friends!  I'm back again today sharing a spread in my ringed traveler's notebook.  This is not my usual layout, though.  This one documents a not so fun day-- a day that was not perfect.

I received a mini kit from The Wild Hare Kits a few weeks ago, and knew it would be perfect for documenting my accident.  The kit contained several items from Pinkfresh Studio A Case of the Blahs collection.

I started by layering some of the papers from the A Case of the Blahs 6 x 6 paper pad.  I outlined some of the papers for added interest.  For the title, I used a stamp set from Feed Your Craft that has been in my stash for a while now.  I really love the boldness of this alpha set.  I also used a stamp set from Citrus Twist Kits that contained lots of sentiments that were perfect for this page.  I stamped them all, cut them out in strips, and adhered them to the page.  Next, I layered on several puffy stickers and completed my journaling.  For a final finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

This is another simple layout, but I love how it came together and I'm happy to have it documented.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my latest layout!

Cute

Hello again!

I recently subscribed to the Citrus Twist Kits Scrapbook kit.  It arrived last week and I couldn't wait to have some time to play!  It includes lots of the Maggie Holmes Willow Lane collection (which I LOVE).

I thought this kit would be perfect to document my niece's one month birthday.  Her outfit is a shade of denim that matches beautifully with the blues and purples in this kit.

I cut the papers to TN size and layered on a doily, more paper, chipboard stickers, and ephemera from the Willow Lane collection.  I stamped my date and called it done.  This one came together really quickly using a kit!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed a peek at my latest traveler's notebook layout.

Down by the River

Hey scrappy friends!  I'm here with you sharing another layout in my ringed traveler's notebook.

I decided to document one of my favorite places- a small strip of land where the river crosses our property.  When the water in the river is low enough, we have our own little "beach" complete with white sand.

I decided to print a full page photo to highlight on my spread.  I just love the way the sun is peeking through the trees!  I added the title on the opposite page to some graph paper using the Jenkins alpha stamps from Kelly Purkey.  I LOVE this stamp set!  Because the photo & stamping were so striking, I chose to keep the layout fairly simple.  I added some puffy stickers, labels, and a little more stamping and called it done.

Sometimes simple is better!  Thanks for stopping by!

So Happy Together

Hey friends!  I'm back today sharing my first design team project for The Cut Shoppe!

I was so excited to create a spread in my ringed traveler's notebook using the new Endless Summer Printable and the Tall Titles cut file that were both added to The Cut Shoppe this week.

I opened the Endless Summer TN Printable - Autumn Rainbow paper in Photoshop and mirrored the image so the rainbow border would be the same on both sides of my spread.  I printed the Picnic Blanket printable paper and used it to cut out the Tall Titles word "together" and backed it with graph paper, one of my favorite prints to use in my TN.

I adhered an acrylic heart from Elle's Studio to add more interest and used some Pinkfresh Studio & Elle's Studio puffy letter stickers to finish off my title.

The photos I used were taken at my family's pond during our annual photo session.  It's always fun to capture some silly shots of my guys.

I used a variety of Pinkfresh Studio & Citrus Twist die cuts on my layout, adding foam to some of them for added dimension.  I used enamel dots, puffy hearts, and stamped the date and the "thankful" sentiment on a couple of the die cuts.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Sweet Baby

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here again today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook.

I just LOVE documenting my precious niece.  She is just too cute!  This photo was one of my favorites from her newborn photo session.

I received a mini kit from The Wild Hare Kits and could not wait to use it.  It included a variety of Pinkfresh Studio die cuts, puffy stickers, chipboard, and a 6x6 paper pad.  I used some papers from the She Blooms collection by Illustrated Faith and a mini doily from Doodlebug Designs.

I love using chipboard on my layouts, but find it to be quite dimensional for my TN.  I peeled off a couple of layers of the chipboard and now it works perfectly- still dimensional but not too thick!

I layered some of the die cuts and puffy stickers, stamped the date, and added twine to the tag.  I used my tiny attacher to add a tab to the top of the spread. It's fun having things hang over the edge of the page!

For the title, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the word "Sweet" using a handwriting font and white cardstock.  Pinkfresh Studio white alpha stickers finished off the title.

I had fun adding another layout to my traveler's notebook!  Thanks for stopping by again today!

Summer Fun

Hey everyone!  I'm back with another spread in my traveler's notebook using some fabulous summer digitals from Feed your Craft and In a Creative Bubble, along with some physical supplies.  This kit worked perfectly to document a recent trip with my youngest son to our local splash pad.

Using my Silhouette Studio software, I traced one of the digital stamps and then cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I love using a large title as a feature on a traveler's notebook spread!

I used Photoshop to alter the wording on one of the pdf images and then printed the pdf  that was included in the kit.  I love creating hybrid layouts because the elements can be customized to any color scheme or style.

I then added stamping and layered some tags, stickers, and acrylic stars- all the little details that make this spread even more fun.

I hope you will try adding a large title to your next TN layout!  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Sun & Fun

Hello everyone!  You've got to start somewhere, right!?!  This is my first layout share in my little corner of the web.  I created a summer spread in my ringed traveler's notebook using the FREE Summer Sizzle printable from The Cut Shoppe- available in The Cut Shop Scrap Spot Facebook Group.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the images- printing several extras of the flamingo because he is just too cute!  I also used the Beach Bum cut file from The Cut Shoppe to cut the leaves, using both the positive and negative of the cuts and different patterned papers.  This gave the leaves more texture and dimension.

My journaling is on a tag that I tucked behind the photo.  I also did some stamping using a Feed Your Craft stamp set called Pattern Play.  This is one of my most used stamp sets because it can be used on any type or theme of layout.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you again soon!  I have so many fun projects planned that I am excited to share with you!
