Joyful | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my ringed traveler's notebook.  I was so excited when Ashley, from The Cut Shoppe, released the new Holly Jolly Christmas TN Decorative Page cut file!  I knew it would be perfect for some holiday documenting in my traveler's notebook.

Here's the layout I created for my 2018 December Daily Album:

For my project today, I used the Christmas Stories kit from Citrus Twist Kits.  To begin the spread, I printed out the cut file using white cardstock, sizing it slightly smaller than the TN page, because I knew I wanted to use the black and white plaid patterned paper as a background behind the cut file.  Next, I backed the trees with different red and green patterned papers, leaving a few of them open so that the plaid pattern would show through.  I LOVE how it turned out!

For the title, I added a 'Joyful' sticker to a cut apart tag from the kit.  I also added some twine to the tag and a few enamel dots.

For the other side of the layout, I added a strip of red patterned paper to a white cardstock base and created a tag using a green paper.  I added my photo to the tag and used washi tape to create a flip-up for my journaling.

Thank you for joining me today.  Be sure to check out all of the fun new Holiday cut files in The Cut Shoppe Store!

Hello Glorious Fall | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends! Marsha here today, and I am sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album focusing on some digitals from the Citrus Twist Kits shop.  I used one of the subscriber bonus journaling cards from this month as a background paper for my layout.  I loved this card and thought it would be perfect enlarged on a page.

Here's a look at my layout:

To begin the spread, I opened the journaling card file in Photoshop and enlarged it to approximately 4" wide.  Next, I printed it out on some white cardstock and trimmed it to the size of my TN page.

Since the background of the page was done, I began creating the layout using the Life Crafted Gratitude kit.  I added my photo to the page and used a stamp from the This Is Life "Grateful" Stamp to stamp a floral piece at the edge of my photo.  I stamped the date onto a printable cutapart label from this month and tucked it behind the photo.  A vellum leaf and puffy heart sticker completed the simple embellishing around the photo.

For the title, I stamped the word "hello" from the November Traveler's Notebook Stamp.  To complete the title, I used some tile alpha stickers (from a previous LC kit) and the glitter foam stickers from this month's kit.  I did not have enough Ls, so I trimmed two of the lowercase Fs to make the Ls.  I added more of the vellum leaves and stamped another floral from the TN Stamp.  To complete this side of the spread, I added some machine stitching to the edge of the page and to the stems of the leaves.

For the other side of the spread, I decided to focus on the vellum leaves from the Life Crafted kit.  I placed them randomly on the white cardstock base and added a bit more stamping with the Grateful Stamp.  To finish off the spread, I added some machine stitching to the stem of each leaf.

Here's one final look at the layout:

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope this has inspired you to use some digital elements on your next project.  I will see you again soon!

Grateful for Us | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today with this week's 3-To-Inspire Challenge for Citrus Twist Kits.  I have created a layout in my Life Crafted Album using the beautiful "Gratitude" Life Crafted Kit and the This is Life "Grateful" Stamp.

Here are the prompts:

1. Use stamps
2. Use a cut file
3. Use puffy stickers

Here's the project I created:

For my layout today, I began by using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the Grateful cut file- one of the subscriber exclusive cut files for this month.  I modified it slightly, removing the screen outline and florals and enlarging the word.  I used white cardstock for the cut file and backed the letters with a variety of patterned papers from the LC kit.  For the base of my page, I used another piece of white cardstock, trimmed to fit in the album.  The cut file was then adhered to the page, and I used some stamps from the Grateful Stamp to complete the title.  Because I knew I planned to use the kraft patterned paper for the other side of the spread, I added a thin strip of it to the edge of the page.  This helped to make the pages of my spread more cohesive.

To build the other side layout, I began with a white cardstock base and added the kraft patterned paper from the kit.  I love the typed sentiments on this paper so much and really did not want to cover up any of it!  I added my photo to the page and did some additional stamping using the Grateful Stamp.  This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, because it includes great sentiments and amazing florals.  What could be better?

To finish off the spread, I used the vellum ephemera pieces, chipboard stickers, and puffy stickers to embellish.

Here's one final look at the layout:

Thanks for stopping by today!  I am excited to see your take on this 3-To-Inspire challenge.  Be sure you share it with us on the CTK Fan Facebook Page or on Instagram using #citrustwistkits.

Grateful | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook.  I am loving any and all things fall-related right now, so I could not resist using the Fall Is Here cut file from The Cut Shoppe

Here's the project I created:

For my layout, I used mainly the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans (from my October Citrus Twist Kits).

To begin the page, I sized the cut file to fit in my traveler's notebook.  I cut it out using white cardstock and used a variety of patterned papers to back the leaves on the file.  Next, I cut the cut file in half so that it would fit in my traveler's notebook.  I added my photo and used a puffy phrase sticker (trimmed in half to fit in my TN) for my title.

To embellish the page, I used ephemera pieces and puffy stickers.  I also added some stamping to a few areas on the page.

This traveler's notebook layout came together so quickly using this fun fall cut file!  Here's another look at my TN layout:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to head over to The Cut Shoppe to check out all of the cut files that are available in the store now!

Happy Birthday | Technique Tuesday

Hey friends!  I am excited to be here today sharing a layout using the NEW Technique Tuesday Large Birthday Stamp Set and Large Happy Birthday Crafting Dies.  These sets are perfect for any type of birthday documenting.

Here is the layout I created:

For my project, I used a Life Crafted Album from Citrus Twist Kits.  To begin the spread, I stamped the large Happy Birthday sentiment onto a journaling card from my stash.  I love the bold look of this stamp- it was perfect for my title.  Next, I cut out a star cut file (Midnight Dreary from The Cut Shoppe) using my Silhouette Cameo.  I thought using the rainbow striped paper for the cut file made the title really stand out from the background!

For the other side of the spread, I added a strip of the striped patterned paper to the edge of the page.  Using the stamp set, I stamped the HOORAY portion of the stamp onto another piece of the striped paper.  Then, I fussy cut around the stamping.  I added dimensional foam behind the stamped word and layered it over the edge of the photo, keeping the stripes lined up.  I love how this turned out!

With the Large Happy Birthday Crafting Dies, I cut out the word "birthday" and the stars, using some orange and blue patterned papers.  I used one of the stamps in the set to stamp the "it's your" portion of the stamp with black ink.

I finished the layout by adding some acetate stars around the page and adding a foam sticker for my son's age.

This was a fun project to create using the Large Birthday Stamp Set and Large Happy Birthday Crafting Dies.  I hope you will check out these sets in the Technique Tuesday Shop
