Merry & Bright | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here with you today sharing a layout in my December Daily.  I am slowly but surely filling my album with lots of memories from the month.  My layout is featuring one of the FREE 12 Days of Christmas cut files- Christmas Ornaments.

For my layout today, I used mainly the Crate Paper Snowflake collection.  I chose to only cut out a portion of the cut file so that it would fit onto one side of my album.  I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and backed each ornament with different patterned papers.

I added some stamping to a couple of the ornaments, along with some gold chipboard stars and puffy number stickers.

For the other side of the layout, I added my photo and used ephemera, and stickers to embellish the page.  I used some puffy gold phrase stickers for the title.

The spread came together so quickly using this fun and FREE cut file!  Be sure to stop by The Cut Shoppe store and check out all of the new designs.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Joy | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my 2019 December Daily using the Tree Farm cut file, available at The Cut Shoppe.

Here's a look at the layout:

Here's the cut file:

I love all types of holiday documenting, but December projects are my absolute favorite!  For my project today, I used mainly the Crate Paper Snowflake collection.  To begin the layout, I cut out three of the trees included in the cut file, using white cardstock.  I wanted to focus on one of the trees, so I sized it larger than the others.  I backed the largest tree with gold dot vellum from my stash and left the others open.  I created a large tag using a pink patterned paper and adhered the trees to it, slightly overlapping them.  A gold star, some tree stickers, a bit of ribbon, and machine stitching completed this side of the layout.

For the other side of the spread, I used a pocket page with 2- 3"x4" pockets.  I trimmed a patterned paper to fit in the pocket and added some chipboard stickers for my title.  I printed my journaling and adhered it to a label.

For the other pocket, I printed my photo and added a label, stickers, and a bit more ribbon.

Here's one final look at the layout:

Thank you so much for joining me today!  I will see you again soon!

Photo Time | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing another layout in my December Daily (using a Life Crafted Album).  For my project, I used mainly the December "Hustle and Heart" Kit and the Scrapbooking Add-on kit.

Here's a look at the layout I created:

I have really enjoyed using the non-Christmas themed items for my December documenting!  To begin my page, I trimmed a striped paper from the add-on kit to fit in the LC album.  I printed my photo and added it to the page, using a cut apart element and ephemera from the Life Crafted kit and add-on kit to embellish.  I recently purchased a mini tag punch and was excited to use it on the page.  I punched out the tag using one of the elements from the cut apart sheet from this month.  Next, I added some stamping to the tag using the 2x3 Stamp Add-on.  I added a bit of repeat stamping under the photo using the Life Crafted Kit Stamp.

For the other side of the layout, I used one of the 3x4 pocket pages for the LC album.  Using Photoshop, I opened the heart digital journaling card.  Because I needed more space than the journaling lines would allow, I deleted them from the card.  I typed my journaling, following the heart shape.  It's not perfect, but I am really happy with the results!  I trimmed the card slightly and layered a patterned paper behind.

For the other pocket, I opened one of the cards from the December Days digital journaling cards in Photoshop.  I deleted the highlighted "25," because I knew I wanted to include today's number in that spot.  I printed out the card and added a white puffy number sticker from a previous LC kit.  I also used the same alpha stickers for part of the title.  I stamped the word "PHOTO" using the Typewriter Alpha Stamp onto vellum and added it to the card.  To finish off the layout, I added some machine stitching to several areas on the page.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out the amazing kits this month in the Citrus Twist Kits shop!

Carefree Day | Technique Tuesday

Hey friends!  I am excited to be here today sharing a layout in my December Daily album, using the new Technique Tuesday Self Care Stamps and Geometric Border Crafting Dies.  These sets are so versatile- perfect for many different types of projects.

Here's a look at the layout:

December is always a busy month for my family, so I created a layout prior to the month documenting one of my "self-care days."   This is pretty much how I start my at-home days- with coffee and knitting.  It is such a great way to start ANY day!

To begin the page, I pulled some papers and embellishments from the Crate Paper Snowflake collection.  I trimmed white cardstock to fit in my album and layered patterned papers over both pages, machine stitching around the edges for texture and interest.  Using the Geometric Border Crafting Dies, I cut some pieces to layer at the edge of both pages.  I love how it frames the layout!

Next, I hand cut another paper into a tag shape and used the Self Care Stamps to add the title to a label.  I stamped using black ink so that it would stand out on the page.  I added some vellum behind the tag and used stickers to embellish it.

For the other side of the layout, I added the photo and used the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies to cut a label.  I stamped a couple more sentiments using the stamp set and black ink.  I added some puffy stickers to frame the photo and denote the day I was documenting.  Using my computer, I typed and printed the journaling, trimmed it into strips, and adhered it to the page.

Here's one final look a the layout:

I love how this project came together using the Self Care Stamps and Geometric Border Crafting Dies.  Be sure to check out the Memory Keepers Studio Clear Stamps and Fresh Cut Studio Craft Dies at Technique Tuesday.

Thanks for joining me today!  I will see you again soon!

Sunday Sketch | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today with this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge for Citrus Twist Kits.  This is such a fun challenge and a really great way to jump-start your creativity.

Here's a look at the sketch:

Here's the layout I created using the Life Crafted "Hustle and Heart" Kit and the December Scrapbooking Add-on Kit:

For this project, I chose to add a layout to my 2019 December Daily album-  I am using the Life Crafted Album.  I LOVE the size of this album...so perfect for this project!

To begin the spread, I rotated the sketch so that the photo and number would be on the right side of the page.  I trimmed two pieces of white cardstock to use as the base for my pages.  Next, I enlarged one of the journaling cards from the December Days digital collection, and I used it along with a couple of the patterned papers from the LC kit to layer behind my photo and day number.   Using the This Is Life "Born For This" Stamp, I stamped a frame for my number.  I added another stamp from the Traveler's Notebook Stamp to a label and added it to the side of the number.  I  used ephemera, chipboard pieces, and stickers from the kits to embellish the page, also adding some machine stitching.

For the other side of the spread, I layered a few strips of patterned paper along the edge of the page.  I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Stories Stamp onto a label and used some of the puffy alpha stickers from the Add-on kit for the title.

I stamped some stars, using a CTK TN Stamp from a previous month, around the page and used ephemera and enamel dots to embellish.  I also added some Crate Paper Snowflake Stickers (that can be found in the CTK shop).  To finish off the page, I added a bit more machine stitching to the edge of the page.

Here's a final look at the layout:

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you will join in on the challenge and share your creations with us on the Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram using #citrustwistkits.
