The Best | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album.  I used the May "Excursions" Kit, the Traveler's Notebook Stamp, the Stamp Add-on, and the Excursions Cut Aparts to complete this spread.  I also used the fun new page protectors.

Here's the layout I created:

To begin the spread, I trimmed one of the papers to 3x4 to fit in the page protector.  I then used a cut apart element, the puffy aqua mint alpha stickers, and a cork sticker to complete the title card.  I added some machine stitching over the title for extra texture and interest.

For the next card, I used a circle punch to trim out some of the circular elements from the cut aparts.  I then layered them on the card, adding some stamping, puffy stickers, and ephemera pieces for embellishment.

For the other side of the spread, I trimmed a patterned paper to 4x6 to fit the page protector.  I adhered my photo, and added cork stickers, die cuts, and cut apart elements to a couple of areas around the photo.  I also added some stamping using the add on stamps.

Next, I trimmed some patterned paper to 2x4 and added some journaling using a typewriter font.  I added a cut apart element and did some stamping to complete the page.

Fun Times | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here with you today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook using the And Then cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

I used mainly the Crate Paper All Heart collection for this layout.  To begin my page, I sized the cut file to about 5 inches wide, so it would be a little larger than one side of my traveler's notebook.  I then cut it out using patterned paper, and did an offset using white cardstock to back the file.  I love using larger cut files in my traveler's notebook.

Next, I chose a photo of my sister and I taken earlier this year.  I used a tag and frame from the collection to layer behind the photo.  To embellish around the photo, I used puffy stickers and chipboard stickers.

I stamped several sentiments down the side of the page using a Kellie Stamps stamp set and different ink colors.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you will check out my post on The Cut Shoppe blog today!

Traveler's Notebook Challenge | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm excited to share a TN challenge with you today.  For my layout, I used the May Life Crafted "Excursions" Kit, the This is Life "Free Spirit" Stamps, and the digital Free Spirit stamps.

Here's a look at my TN layout:

My challenge for you is to use the digital stamps and hand stitching in your traveler's notebook.  I used the colorful leaf patterned paper as inspiration for this page.  To begin the layout, I used Photoshop to enlarge and recolor the leaf stamp from the digital Free Spirit stamps.  I printed it on vellum at about 3 inches wide.  Using a piercing tool, I followed the edges of the image and did a simple back stitch using white embroidery floss.  This took extra time, but I love how it turned out!  I adhered it to the page using liquid glue, being careful to only add the glue to the stitching so it would not show through the vellum.

For the other side of the page, I adhered my photo to a tag from the ephemera pack.  I used some other die cuts from the pack to embellish the page, adding staples and twine for interest and texture.

Using the Free Spirit stamp set, I stamped a some leaves using two different colors of ink to match the layout.  I fussy cut them and tucked them under the edge of the photo.  It's always fun to add stamped embellishments to a project.

For the title, I trimmed one of the die cuts and used the aqua mint puffy alpha stickers to finish it off.  I added a few more stamps from the stamp set and stamped the date at the bottom of the spread.

Here's a final look at the completed project:

Thank you for joining me today!  I hope you will try adding a digital stamp and hand stitching to your next TN spread.  Be sure to share your project using this challenge on the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page on Facebook or using #citrustwistkits on Instagram.  Be sure to check out my blog post on the Citrus Twist Kits blog today!

Sun Shiny Day

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook using the fun Sun Shiny Day cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my spread, I printed a large photo (4.25 x 8.25) of my son taken last year at the beach on Spring Break.  I always love the look of a large photo in my TN!

I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and used the offset feature in Silhouette Studio to cut the patterned paper to back the file.  I love how this turned out, and it made backing the cut file so much easier!

Next, I used some die cuts and stickers from the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection to embellish the page.

I chose a couple of stamp sets from Kellie Stamps to add some stamped sentiments.  To finish off the layout, I added some machine stitching and staples to a few areas around the page.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Citrus Twist Kits NSD 2019 Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Citrus Twist Kits NSD Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Theresa's blog.

I am so exited to be a part of today's blog hop.  This month's kits are beautiful, and I'm happy to be sharing a layout using the May Scrapbooking Add-on Kit and the "Excursions" Life Crafted Kit stamps.

Here's a look at the layout I created:

I adore the Crate Paper All Heart collection, and this month's Add-on Kit includes lots of it!

I chose to document this fun selfie, taken on the way to a costume banquet, and thought it would work perfectly with this kit.  To begin the page, I trimmed a piece of white textured cardstock into an 8.5x11 size.  I trimmed two patterned papers and adhered them down the center of the page, adding machine stitching to the edges for extra texture.  Next, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out one of the NSD cut files, modifying it slightly so it would mostly cover the length of the page.

Once the base layers were complete, I adhered my photo and layered a die cut frame over it.  I created two main embellishment clusters, adding ephemera pieces, puffy stickers, and chipboard stickers to these areas.  Next, I stamped a couple of sentiments from this month's Life Crafted stamp set.  I couldn't resist adding the bow from the kit to the bottom cluster.  It is not something I would normally choose to use on a page, but I think it works perfectly on this layout!  To finish off the spread, I added some black mist splatters.

This layout came together so quickly using this gorgeous kit and stamps!

Road Trip | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I am back today sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album.  I used the new Citrus Twist Kits May "Excursions" kit that just released, along with the This is Life "Free Spirit" Stamps.  This month's Life Crafted kit might just be my favorite kit EVER!!  I love the travel theme, and all of the gorgeous papers and embellishments.

Here's a look at the layout I created:

To begin my spread, I chose a fun photo taken on a day trip with some of my extended family.  I added layers behind the photo using a patterned paper and a vintage book page, both from the kit. I enjoyed using the book page as a layering piece in several areas on my spread.  I used some light pink stamping ink and one of the stamps to add some subtle color and interest to it.  I love how this turned out!

For the other side of the layout, I printed the digital diagonal stripe TN paper.  I love the colors in this paper and wanted to feature it on the page.  Next, I printed my journaling on a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it into a tag shape.  I used some of the ephemera pieces, cut aparts, and puffy stickers to complete this side of the layout.

To finish off the spread, I added some light pink and blue watercolor splatters around the layout.  I also added a couple of stamped sentiments using the Free Spirit stamps.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you will check out my post on the Citrus Twist Kits blog today!
