Day Dream | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album.  For my project, I used the April Life Crafted Night & Day Kit, along with the April Traveler's Notebook Stamp and some of this month's digital papers.

Here's a look at the layout:

I loved the multicolor "dream" die cut from this month's ephemera, so I decided to use it as an inspiration piece for my layout.  This photo of my youngest son, asleep in my arms, is one of my favorites, and I thought it would be perfect for this project.

To begin the layout, I opened one of the papers from the Night & Day Traveler's Notebook Basics Digital Papers in Photoshop and added my journaling to the bottom of the page.  That's one of the really great things about using digital papers, you can add journaling directly to the page before printing!  After printing the digital paper onto white cardstock, I added my photo and embellished using a variety of ephemera pieces, chipboard stickers, and embossed faux leather stickers.

To complete this side of the layout, I used the Traveler's Notebook Stamp and black ink to add a bit of stamping onto the ephemera tabs.  I also added the date using a roller date stamp from my stash.

For the right side of the spread, I printed a gray patterned paper from the Night & Day Digital TN Papers.  Because the TN paper is sized to 4.25"x 8.25," and I wanted it to be a full page in the album, I chose to trim the cardstock to 5"x 8.25."  This left a white border along the inside of the page.  I enjoy mixing pages inside and outside of page protectors in my album.  For the title, I used two of the ephemera words from the kit, adding adhesive foam under the word day for extra dimension.  To complete the page, I added a few ephemera stars, a chipboard heart sticker, and an embossed faux leather sticker.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to use some of the digitals from the CTK shop on your next project.  They work so perfectly in the Life Crafted Albums and with the Life Crafted Kits!

Hello Glorious Fall | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends! Marsha here today, and I am sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album focusing on some digitals from the Citrus Twist Kits shop.  I used one of the subscriber bonus journaling cards from this month as a background paper for my layout.  I loved this card and thought it would be perfect enlarged on a page.

Here's a look at my layout:

To begin the spread, I opened the journaling card file in Photoshop and enlarged it to approximately 4" wide.  Next, I printed it out on some white cardstock and trimmed it to the size of my TN page.

Since the background of the page was done, I began creating the layout using the Life Crafted Gratitude kit.  I added my photo to the page and used a stamp from the This Is Life "Grateful" Stamp to stamp a floral piece at the edge of my photo.  I stamped the date onto a printable cutapart label from this month and tucked it behind the photo.  A vellum leaf and puffy heart sticker completed the simple embellishing around the photo.

For the title, I stamped the word "hello" from the November Traveler's Notebook Stamp.  To complete the title, I used some tile alpha stickers (from a previous LC kit) and the glitter foam stickers from this month's kit.  I did not have enough Ls, so I trimmed two of the lowercase Fs to make the Ls.  I added more of the vellum leaves and stamped another floral from the TN Stamp.  To complete this side of the spread, I added some machine stitching to the edge of the page and to the stems of the leaves.

For the other side of the spread, I decided to focus on the vellum leaves from the Life Crafted kit.  I placed them randomly on the white cardstock base and added a bit more stamping with the Grateful Stamp.  To finish off the spread, I added some machine stitching to the stem of each leaf.

Here's one final look at the layout:

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope this has inspired you to use some digital elements on your next project.  I will see you again soon!

Say Hello to Fall

Hello!   Today I am sharing a project I created for The Cut Shoppe- a layout in my traveler's notebook album using the new Falling for You Traveler's Notebook Decorative Page cut file that can be found at The Cut Shoppe.

I love fall layouts and recording all the fun things we do during this season.  I thought this cut file would be perfect for my TN spread documenting a photo of my son taken last year at our local fair.

I started by cutting out the file using white cardstock.  I chose to use a piece of textured dot kraft cardstock as my base and love the way the cut file looks against it!  I used a fun wood veneer circle from Colorcast Designs as my title piece and layered it over the cut file.

I used some digital papers and elements from the Little Lamm Co. Gossamer collection, along with stamps from Feed Your Craft, and a wood/epoxy button sticker from Freckled Fawn.

I decided to cut out a few more of the leaves from the cut file to add to the page.  I like the way it helps the pages feel like one cohesive spread.

I did some stamping, typed my journaling on a label, and added a few staples using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, one of my favorite scrapbooking tools.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to use a cut file on your next project!

Home

It's great to be back again today sharing a new layout in my ringed traveler's notebook.

I created this layout using the Felicity Jane Jeana digital kit along with some other Felicity Jane stamps and stickers from my stash.

I love the colors and theme of this kit and knew it would be perfect for documenting this photo of my home taken earlier this year.  My Bradford Pear tree was blooming and it's blooms almost looked like snow.

I sized the papers to 4.25" x 8.25" in Photoshop and printed them along with some of the digital ephemera and stamps that I knew I wanted to use on this spread.  I added the "my favorite place" digital stamp to the ombre paper before printing it.  I love this added detail!

I layered a piece of crate paper and some of the Jeana kit papers behind my photo, along with flowers from the kit that I had print and cut using my silhouette cameo.  Next, I stamped a few sentiments and a heart using one of my favorite Felicity Jane stamp sets.  I stapled one of the labels to the top of my photo for added interest and texture.

For the opposite page, I layered a tag and embroidery hoop, both from the digital ephemera.  I used puffy letter stickers for the title and added crochet thread to the tag.

I love how this layout came together!

Thanks for stopping by again today.  I have enjoyed sharing another layout with you!

So Happy Together

Hey friends!  I'm back today sharing my first design team project for The Cut Shoppe!

I was so excited to create a spread in my ringed traveler's notebook using the new Endless Summer Printable and the Tall Titles cut file that were both added to The Cut Shoppe this week.

I opened the Endless Summer TN Printable - Autumn Rainbow paper in Photoshop and mirrored the image so the rainbow border would be the same on both sides of my spread.  I printed the Picnic Blanket printable paper and used it to cut out the Tall Titles word "together" and backed it with graph paper, one of my favorite prints to use in my TN.

I adhered an acrylic heart from Elle's Studio to add more interest and used some Pinkfresh Studio & Elle's Studio puffy letter stickers to finish off my title.

The photos I used were taken at my family's pond during our annual photo session.  It's always fun to capture some silly shots of my guys.

I used a variety of Pinkfresh Studio & Citrus Twist die cuts on my layout, adding foam to some of them for added dimension.  I used enamel dots, puffy hearts, and stamped the date and the "thankful" sentiment on a couple of the die cuts.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Sweet Baby

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here again today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook.

I just LOVE documenting my precious niece.  She is just too cute!  This photo was one of my favorites from her newborn photo session.

I received a mini kit from The Wild Hare Kits and could not wait to use it.  It included a variety of Pinkfresh Studio die cuts, puffy stickers, chipboard, and a 6x6 paper pad.  I used some papers from the She Blooms collection by Illustrated Faith and a mini doily from Doodlebug Designs.

I love using chipboard on my layouts, but find it to be quite dimensional for my TN.  I peeled off a couple of layers of the chipboard and now it works perfectly- still dimensional but not too thick!

I layered some of the die cuts and puffy stickers, stamped the date, and added twine to the tag.  I used my tiny attacher to add a tab to the top of the spread. It's fun having things hang over the edge of the page!

For the title, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the word "Sweet" using a handwriting font and white cardstock.  Pinkfresh Studio white alpha stickers finished off the title.

I had fun adding another layout to my traveler's notebook!  Thanks for stopping by again today!

Summer Fun

Hey everyone!  I'm back with another spread in my traveler's notebook using some fabulous summer digitals from Feed your Craft and In a Creative Bubble, along with some physical supplies.  This kit worked perfectly to document a recent trip with my youngest son to our local splash pad.

Using my Silhouette Studio software, I traced one of the digital stamps and then cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I love using a large title as a feature on a traveler's notebook spread!

I used Photoshop to alter the wording on one of the pdf images and then printed the pdf  that was included in the kit.  I love creating hybrid layouts because the elements can be customized to any color scheme or style.

I then added stamping and layered some tags, stickers, and acrylic stars- all the little details that make this spread even more fun.

I hope you will try adding a large title to your next TN layout!  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Sun & Fun

Hello everyone!  You've got to start somewhere, right!?!  This is my first layout share in my little corner of the web.  I created a summer spread in my ringed traveler's notebook using the FREE Summer Sizzle printable from The Cut Shoppe- available in The Cut Shop Scrap Spot Facebook Group.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the images- printing several extras of the flamingo because he is just too cute!  I also used the Beach Bum cut file from The Cut Shoppe to cut the leaves, using both the positive and negative of the cuts and different patterned papers.  This gave the leaves more texture and dimension.

My journaling is on a tag that I tucked behind the photo.  I also did some stamping using a Feed Your Craft stamp set called Pattern Play.  This is one of my most used stamp sets because it can be used on any type or theme of layout.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you again soon!  I have so many fun projects planned that I am excited to share with you!
