Merry & Bright | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here with you today sharing a layout in my December Daily.  I am slowly but surely filling my album with lots of memories from the month.  My layout is featuring one of the FREE 12 Days of Christmas cut files- Christmas Ornaments.

For my layout today, I used mainly the Crate Paper Snowflake collection.  I chose to only cut out a portion of the cut file so that it would fit onto one side of my album.  I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and backed each ornament with different patterned papers.

I added some stamping to a couple of the ornaments, along with some gold chipboard stars and puffy number stickers.

For the other side of the layout, I added my photo and used ephemera, and stickers to embellish the page.  I used some puffy gold phrase stickers for the title.

The spread came together so quickly using this fun and FREE cut file!  Be sure to stop by The Cut Shoppe store and check out all of the new designs.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Family | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook album.  I used the awesome Half Hearted cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my layout, I used the Crate Paper Heritage collection by Maggie Holmes- such a lovely collection and perfect for my family photo.

To begin the layout, I sized the cut file to fit in my traveler's notebook (approximately 4.25"x8.25").  I knew I wanted to bring the cut file over to the other page, so I added an additional column of the hearts.  I cut out the cut file using a woodgrain patterned paper from the collection- I always love a good woodgrain!

Next, I adhered the cut file to a white cardstock base, sized to fit in my album.  I added my photo and embellished around it using clear stickers, puffy stickers, and ephemera.

For the other side of the spread, I added the cut file to the edge of the page, also adding two strips of patterned paper from the collection.  I added a tag and a white acrylic piece to serve as my title.  I did some simple embellishing using some ephemera pieces and stickers.

I love how this layout turned out using this fun cut file!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you check out this cut file in The Cut Shoppe Store!

Cherish This Moment In Time | Technique Tuesday

Hey friends!  I am excited to be here today sharing some amazing sets from Technique Tuesday.  For my project, I used the Remember When Scrapbooking Stamp Set and Oval & Rectangle Stitched Labels Crafting Dies.

Be sure to read to the bottom of this post for info on the Technique Tuesday Season of Thanks Sale!

Here's a look at my layout:

I created a pocket page layout in my Life Crafted Album (from Citrus Twist Kits) using mainly the Crate Paper Heritage collection by Maggie Holmes.

To begin my spread, I printed a cute photo of my youngest son, from a family photo session several years ago.  Such a fun photo!  I added some simple layers behind my photo using some ephemera pieces and a label sticker for the date.

Using the Oval & Rectangle Stitched Labels Crafting Dies, I die cut a patterned paper from the collection.  Then, using the Remember When Scrapbooking Stamps and black ink, I stamped the "This Moment in Time" sentiment to serve as my title.  This stamp set includes so many awesome sentiments- perfect for documenting those special photos and memories.

Next, I trimmed another one of the die cut labels in half, placing a portion at the top and bottom of the page.  I love the interest this simple touch adds to the layout!

For the other side of the spread, I trimmed two patterned papers to 3"x4" to fit in the pocket page.  I die cut another one of the rectangle stitched labels and added a stamped sentiment using black ink.  I used another ephemera piece and a puffy sticker for some simple embellishing.

For the other card, I die cut an oval stitched label and added a sentiment using a denim blue ink.  I placed the label at the edge of the card and trimmed the portion that hung off of the edge.  I added a vellum ephemera piece and a puffy sticker to complete the page.

Here's one final look at the layout using this amazing stamp and die set:

I love how this project came together using the Remember When Scrapbooking Stamp Set and Oval & Rectangle Stitched Labels Crafting Dies.  I hope you are inspired and will check out the Technique Tuesday Thanksgiving Stamps.

Happy Haunting | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a traveler's notebook layout using the Happy Haunting Cut File and the Boo Who Digital Stamp.  Halloween layouts are so much fun to create, and there are so many fun Halloween designs to choose from at The Cut Shoppe!

Today, I am documenting a photo of my son and nephew taken a couple of years ago.  They have always loved dressing up in Luke's old costumes, and I was excited to create a page using this cute photo of them!

For this spread, I began by printing some of the digital stamps onto vellum.  I love using vellum on hybrid layouts, because it allows for easy layering over photos and other elements on the spread.  Next, I trimmed the "Happy Haunting" stamp and layered it over a piece of patterned paper from my stash, adding some machine stitching to adhere it to the page.  I used some stickers from the Crate Paper Hey Pumpkin collection to embellish the page.

For the other side of the layout, I cut out the cut file using a dot patterned paper.  I added my photo and used a circle punch to cut out one of the stamps I printed on vellum.  I layered it over my photo and added a tag behind the photo.  I printed another one of the digital stamps onto white cardstock, trimmed it out, and layered it over the bottom of the photo.

Next, I added an ephemera pumpkin to the page, layered one of the vellum stamps over it, and added some machine stitching to adhere it to the page.  I printed my journaling onto a label and added it to the bottom of the layout.  For the final finishing touch, I added some stamping around the page using black ink and some clear stamps from my stash.

Thank you for joining me today!  I can't wait to see what you create using the cut files and digital stamps from The Cut Shoppe!

Marsha

Summer Fun + Sun | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a fun summer layout in my traveler's notebook.  I used the Vacay Mode cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my spread today, I used mainly the Crate Paper Sunny Days collection by Maggie Holmes.  To begin the layout, I enlarged the sunglasses portion of the cut file to span across my traveler's notebook spread.  The best part about this cut file is that it includes so many fun images, and there are so many layout design possibilities!  I cut out the file using white cardstock and backed it with a floral paper.  I also created an offset of the cut file in Silhouette Studio using navy patterned paper, so the sunglasses would stand out from the white background.  To complete the title, I added some chipboard phrase stickers.

I chose to document a photo taken on a recent family vacation to the lake.  I thought it worked perfectly with this fun cut file.  I layered some papers behind the photo and added puffy stickers and cardstock stickers to frame the photo.  Next, I stamped the date using my favorite Heidi Swapp date stamp and trimmed it out using a tab punch.

At the top of the other page, I added a tag and layered some puffy stickers and a fussy cut element from one of the patterned papers.  I just love the little beach bag!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to use a cut file on your next project.  See you soon!

Marsha

Summer Adventure | The Cut Shoppe

Hey friends!  I'm back today sharing a spread in my Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted Album using the Summer Adventure Freebie Friyay cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my layout, I mainly used the Crate Paper Sunny Days collection by Maggie Holmes.  To begin the spread, I cut out the cut file using white cardstock.   This is my "go to" for cut files- I just love the way it pops against patterned papers.  I decided to create a pocket and layered the cut file over it.  I tucked several ephemera pieces into the pocket, and I used some of the stickers from the collection to embellish the die cuts.

The photo I am documenting is of my grandmother and I, taken a few years ago.  It's one of my favorites of us, enjoying an afternoon at the beach.  I layered ephemera pieces behind the photo and embellished around the photo with chipboard and stickers.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to check out The Cut Shoppe store and grab this fun Freebie Friyay cut file!

Sun Shiny Day

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook using the fun Sun Shiny Day cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my spread, I printed a large photo (4.25 x 8.25) of my son taken last year at the beach on Spring Break.  I always love the look of a large photo in my TN!

I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and used the offset feature in Silhouette Studio to cut the patterned paper to back the file.  I love how this turned out, and it made backing the cut file so much easier!

Next, I used some die cuts and stickers from the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection to embellish the page.

I chose a couple of stamp sets from Kellie Stamps to add some stamped sentiments.  To finish off the layout, I added some machine stitching and staples to a few areas around the page.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Citrus Twist Kits NSD 2019 Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Citrus Twist Kits NSD Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Theresa's blog.

I am so exited to be a part of today's blog hop.  This month's kits are beautiful, and I'm happy to be sharing a layout using the May Scrapbooking Add-on Kit and the "Excursions" Life Crafted Kit stamps.

Here's a look at the layout I created:

I adore the Crate Paper All Heart collection, and this month's Add-on Kit includes lots of it!

I chose to document this fun selfie, taken on the way to a costume banquet, and thought it would work perfectly with this kit.  To begin the page, I trimmed a piece of white textured cardstock into an 8.5x11 size.  I trimmed two patterned papers and adhered them down the center of the page, adding machine stitching to the edges for extra texture.  Next, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out one of the NSD cut files, modifying it slightly so it would mostly cover the length of the page.

Once the base layers were complete, I adhered my photo and layered a die cut frame over it.  I created two main embellishment clusters, adding ephemera pieces, puffy stickers, and chipboard stickers to these areas.  Next, I stamped a couple of sentiments from this month's Life Crafted stamp set.  I couldn't resist adding the bow from the kit to the bottom cluster.  It is not something I would normally choose to use on a page, but I think it works perfectly on this layout!  To finish off the spread, I added some black mist splatters.

This layout came together so quickly using this gorgeous kit and stamps!

Cute

Hello again!

I recently subscribed to the Citrus Twist Kits Scrapbook kit.  It arrived last week and I couldn't wait to have some time to play!  It includes lots of the Maggie Holmes Willow Lane collection (which I LOVE).

I thought this kit would be perfect to document my niece's one month birthday.  Her outfit is a shade of denim that matches beautifully with the blues and purples in this kit.

I cut the papers to TN size and layered on a doily, more paper, chipboard stickers, and ephemera from the Willow Lane collection.  I stamped my date and called it done.  This one came together really quickly using a kit!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed a peek at my latest traveler's notebook layout.
