September Reveal Traveler's Notebook Layout | Elle's Studio

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a traveler's notebook layout using the NEW September Kit and Extras that released today at Elle's Studio!  The new kit is so beautiful!  I used this month's release to create my first September gallery project- a layout in my Life Crafted album.

The colors and designs in the release are gorgeous- perfect for documenting fall memories!  I used the My Heart Stamp and the My Heart Metal Die, along with the Autumn Days 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack to create the left side of my spread.  The Stitched Heart Wood Veneers were perfect to layer with the stamped and die cut hearts.

I also used the new Grateful Stamp and black ink on one of the hearts.

For the title, I used the Grateful Stamp and Lagoon ink from Close to My Heart.  Elle's Studio stamps are always my favorite!  I used another Stitched Heart Wood Veneer, along with some tag die cuts from the kit and a label and sticker from the add-ons.

I love how my layout turned out using these amazing goodies!  Be sure to stop by the Elle's Studio shop to check out the September 2020 Kit and Add-ons!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will see you again soon!

Currently Reading | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album using the Citrus Twist Kits January Fierce and Fabulous kit and Traveler's Notebook stamp.

Here's a look at the spread I created:

The book print paper from the kit this month was my FAVORITE, so I knew I had to feature it on a layout.  To begin the page, I trimmed the book print patterned paper so I could use a portion of it on both sides of the layout.  I chose the New Chapter ephemera piece to hold the title because I thought it worked perfectly with my reading themed page.  For the title, I used the bright and fun puffy foam alpha stickers from the kit.  Next, I used the Traveler's Notebook stamp and black ink to add the word "currently" and a phrase to the page.  I also stamped a few hearts using a light pink ink.

For the other side of the spread, I adhered the book print paper, folding and stapling the edge for added texture and interest.  I added my photo and layered some patterned papers from the kit behind it.  I used some fabric and cardstock ephemera pieces to embellish around the photo.

Using the TN stamp, I added a bit more stamping with black and pink ink.  I printed the journaling on my computer, cut it into strips, and adhered it to the page.  For the final finishing touch, I added some of the gorgeous glitter stars around the layout.

This layout came together so quickly and easily using the kit.  I just LOVE how it turned out!

Hello Glorious Fall | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends! Marsha here today, and I am sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album focusing on some digitals from the Citrus Twist Kits shop.  I used one of the subscriber bonus journaling cards from this month as a background paper for my layout.  I loved this card and thought it would be perfect enlarged on a page.

Here's a look at my layout:

To begin the spread, I opened the journaling card file in Photoshop and enlarged it to approximately 4" wide.  Next, I printed it out on some white cardstock and trimmed it to the size of my TN page.

Since the background of the page was done, I began creating the layout using the Life Crafted Gratitude kit.  I added my photo to the page and used a stamp from the This Is Life "Grateful" Stamp to stamp a floral piece at the edge of my photo.  I stamped the date onto a printable cutapart label from this month and tucked it behind the photo.  A vellum leaf and puffy heart sticker completed the simple embellishing around the photo.

For the title, I stamped the word "hello" from the November Traveler's Notebook Stamp.  To complete the title, I used some tile alpha stickers (from a previous LC kit) and the glitter foam stickers from this month's kit.  I did not have enough Ls, so I trimmed two of the lowercase Fs to make the Ls.  I added more of the vellum leaves and stamped another floral from the TN Stamp.  To complete this side of the spread, I added some machine stitching to the edge of the page and to the stems of the leaves.

For the other side of the spread, I decided to focus on the vellum leaves from the Life Crafted kit.  I placed them randomly on the white cardstock base and added a bit more stamping with the Grateful Stamp.  To finish off the spread, I added some machine stitching to the stem of each leaf.

Here's one final look at the layout:

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope this has inspired you to use some digital elements on your next project.  I will see you again soon!

Gather Together | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm excited to be here with this week's Citrus Twist Kits Sunday Sketch challenge.  Today's sketch is so fun, and I hope you will be inspired to play along!

Here's a look at the sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch:

For my layout today, I chose to use the beautiful October Life Crafted "At My Table" Kit and the This Is Life Food Stories Stamp.  This kit and stamp set are perfect for any type of food-related documenting!

To begin my page, I decided to rotate the sketch so it would work better in my Life Crafted album.  I printed one of the traveler's notebook digital papers and trimmed it so I could use it on both sides of the spread.  Like the sketch, I decided to use two photos.  I trimmed a patterned paper from the Life Crafted kit and layered my photos on top, tearing a section of the paper at the bottom.  I love the texture this adds to the page.  Next, I fussy cut the floral piece from one of the journaling cards.  I thought it worked perfectly between my two photos.  I stamped a sentiment from the This Is Life Food Stories Stamp and added it over the wording on the card.  I thought it worked better with my layout.

Next, I used some of the digital cut aparts, that are available for this month, to embellish the page.  They are such a nice addition to the kit and are free for kit subscribers!  I added some stamping to the labels and added a few of the puffy and chipboard heart stickers from the kit to finish off the page.

For the other side of the layout, I trimmed a few of the patterned papers into strips and adhered them to the page, also tearing one of the strips.  Next, I added some machine stitching along the edges of the paper.  I love the interest and texture this adds!  For the title, I used some of the mint tiny alphabet stickers and a metallic puffy phrase sticker.

To embellish the page, I added some labels and a puffy scallop sticker.  I just LOVE the metallic puffy stickers in the kit this month!  I typed my journaling, trimmed it into strips, and adhered it to the page.

My layout came together so quickly using this awesome sketch!

You Are Loved | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today with this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge.  This is one of my favorite challenges, because it's such a great way to get your creativity flowing by focusing on three key elements.

Here are the prompts:

1. Play with hexagons
2. Use a cut file
3. Add PURPLE

Here is my take on the challenge:

For my project, I used the October Scrapbooking Add-on Kit, the Life Crafted "At My Table" Kit, and a subscriber exclusive cut file- Screen 4.  I love the bright colors in the kits this month, especially the gorgeous purple!  In my opinion, it's not used nearly enough in scrapbooking products!

I decided to create a layout in my Life Crafted album documenting a fun photo taken at my grandmother's 90th birthday party earlier this year.   I began by cutting out the cut file using white cardstock.  I layered it over a piece of grid patterned paper from the Add-on kit, trimmed to 5"x8.25" (to fit in the LC album).  Next, I backed several of the hexagons with patterned papers from the Life Crafted kit, also adding foam behind one of the hexagons for added interest.  For the title, I used some puffy phrase stickers from the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection, found in the Add-on kit.  To embellish the page, I added some ephemera pieces, a butterfly, and a puffy heart sticker, all from the kits.

For the other page, I added a piece of purple patterned paper behind my photo.  I trimmed out a couple more hexagon shapes and added them around the page.  This made the spread more cohesive by using this shape on both sides of the layout.  Next, I used some puffy stickers and ephemera pieces to embellish.  Using the Life Crafted Stamp, I added some stamping to some of the clusters.  I also added some hand-written journaling to each side of my photo.  I prefer the look of typewriter or computer printed journaling, but it's nice sometimes to use my own handwriting, even if it is imperfect.

I love how this layout came together using these amazing kits!

Here's one final look at the spread:

Time Together | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook.  I used the NEW Citrus Twist Kits September Explore Life Crafted Kit to create this spread.  It is such a beautiful kit, and the colors are gorgeous!

Here's a look at the layout I created:

For my spread today, I documented a photo of my mom and me, taken last month.  Every year, around our birthdays, we spend a day together shopping, eating lunch at our favorite restaurant, and just enjoying the day.  It is such a fun tradition!

I began my layout by printing two of the digital Traveler's Notebook grid papers, altering them slightly in Photoshop to remove the word "FUN" from the bottom of the paper.  I love that Citrus Twist is now offering this option of digital TN papers!  Next, I chose one of the 4x6 journaling cards and trimmed it to fit in the TN.  I love the design of this card, and it works perfectly with my photo.  I also trimmed a woodgrain paper from the kit and layered it behind the journaling card.  To embellish around the photo, I did some stamping using the Explore Life Crafted Kit Stamp and added some of the ephemera pieces and puffy stickers.

To complete this area, I added some machine stitching using a zig-zag stitch.  I love the texture and interest it adds to a page!

For the title, I used the chipboard alpha and a stamp from the kit.  I added some ephemera pieces and a puffy sticker and added more machine stitching to complete the page.

This TN layout came together so quickly using this kit!

Thank you for joining me today!  Be sure to stop by the Citrus Twist Kits shop to check out the new kits and stamps!

Looks Like Joy | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm excited to be sharing this week's Citrus Twist Kits Sunday Sketch challenge.  I love working with a sketch, and this one is perfection.

Here's a look at the sketch:

Here's the layout I created:

For my project, I decided to create a 6x8 layout.  This was a challenge for me, considering I normally create traveler's notebook pages.  However, by using the sketch as a jumping-off point, this page came together so quickly!

I used the July Life Crafted "Best of This Life" kit, the Stamp Add-on, and the This is Life "Chasing Curiosities Stamp.

To begin the page, I chose a notebook print paper from the kit to use as my background and added some black mist splatters.  This often goes terribly wrong for me, so I like to do this as the first step in my process.

Next, I printed a photo of my mom and me, taken last year at the annual Relay for Life Cancer Breakfast.  We have been attending this event for many years- it's always fun, and a nice way to celebrate another cancer-free year!  I followed the sketch for the placement of my photo, and I used some ephemera pieces, cut aparts, and stamps to frame the photo.

For the title, I chose to use the amazing woodgrain alphas included in the kit.  I think they are my favorite part of this month's kit!  I trimmed the scalloped ephemera piece in half and layered it below the title, creating two rows of scallops.  I love this little detail!  To finish off this area, I added some machine stitching over the woodgrain alphas and to the top of the scallops.

I trimmed an ephemera piece with a notebook paper edge and placed it at the top of the page.  Using my typewriter, I added the journaling to a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it into a tag shape- following the sketch.  Next, I added a puffy cardstock sticker, cut apart element, and an enamel shape.  To finish off the layout, I added a bit more machine stitching.

Thank you for joining me today!  I hope you will play along with this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge and share your project with us on the CTK Facebook Fan Page!
