3-To-Inspire Layout | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today hosting this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge for Citrus Twist Kits.  I created a layout in my Life Crafted Album using this month's Life Crafted Legendary kit and the Scrapbooking Addon kit.  I also used the This Is Life Legends stamp and the Traveler's Notebook stamp-- it wouldn't be one of my layouts without at least a little bit of stamping!

Here are the prompts:

1. Feature one stamp or stamp set

2. Use 5 or more patterned papers

3. Use a variety of embellishments

For my layout today, I wanted to document a photo of my sweet little niece.  I planned to use a variety of colors and patterns, so I chose to print the photo in black and white.  I began the spread by stamping the frame from the This Is Life Legends stamp using black ink onto several patterned papers from the LC and Addon kits.  I also used the packaging from stickers in the Addon kit and an ephemera die cut from the LC kit.  Next, I trimmed around the stamped images and arranged them vertically on the page.

I embellished the stamped frames with additional stamping and stickers.  I also added a floral die cut below the frames for a bit of extra interest.

On the left side of the spread, I trimmed a patterned paper from the LC kit and adhered it to the edge of a white cardstock base.  I added my photo and did some simple embellishing using ephemera, chipboard stickers, and puffy stickers.  I also added another one of the stamped frames so that the pages would feel more cohesive.

I love how the layout turned out using this month's kits and stamps!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you are inspired to create a layout based on these prompts!

Life Crafted Layout | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm sharing a Life Crafted layout today using the beautiful September "The Best Parts" kit and Traveler's Notebook stamp.

When I received this month's kit, I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous florals!  I paired them with some other favorites from the kit to create a layout documenting a photo of me with my two sons.

Here's a look at the Life Crafted spread:

I started the layout by trimming a piece of woodgrain patterned paper and adhering it to a white cardstock background.  I always love a good woodgrain paper!  For the title, I layered a fabric ephemera piece over a script die cut.  To complete the title, I added the word "day" using the Soft Mint Puffy Alphabet Stickers (a new item in the CTK shop) to a label from the ephemera pack.  I did a bit of stamping below the label with the Traveler's Notebook stamp and black ink.

To complete the left side of the layout, I added a puffy heart sticker and layered a few of the beautiful floral die cuts onto the edge of the woodgrain patterned paper.

For the other side of the spread, I began with a white cardstock background.  I added my photo at the top of the page and layered it over a diagonal striped paper from the kit.  I used some of the ephemera die cuts, a puffy heart sticker, and an ampersand sticker from the Soft Mint Puffy Alphabet Stickers to embellish.

Below the photo, I layered several of the ephemera pieces and more of the floral die cuts.  I did a bit more stamping using the Traveler's Notebook stamp and black ink onto some of the ephemera pieces.

I hope you found some inspiration for using the September "The Best Parts" kit!  Life Crafted kits are designed to help you tell your stories in a beautiful way!  I will see you again soon!

Photo Time | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm here today sharing another layout in my December Daily (using a Life Crafted Album).  For my project, I used mainly the December "Hustle and Heart" Kit and the Scrapbooking Add-on kit.

Here's a look at the layout I created:

I have really enjoyed using the non-Christmas themed items for my December documenting!  To begin my page, I trimmed a striped paper from the add-on kit to fit in the LC album.  I printed my photo and added it to the page, using a cut apart element and ephemera from the Life Crafted kit and add-on kit to embellish.  I recently purchased a mini tag punch and was excited to use it on the page.  I punched out the tag using one of the elements from the cut apart sheet from this month.  Next, I added some stamping to the tag using the 2x3 Stamp Add-on.  I added a bit of repeat stamping under the photo using the Life Crafted Kit Stamp.

For the other side of the layout, I used one of the 3x4 pocket pages for the LC album.  Using Photoshop, I opened the heart digital journaling card.  Because I needed more space than the journaling lines would allow, I deleted them from the card.  I typed my journaling, following the heart shape.  It's not perfect, but I am really happy with the results!  I trimmed the card slightly and layered a patterned paper behind.

For the other pocket, I opened one of the cards from the December Days digital journaling cards in Photoshop.  I deleted the highlighted "25," because I knew I wanted to include today's number in that spot.  I printed out the card and added a white puffy number sticker from a previous LC kit.  I also used the same alpha stickers for part of the title.  I stamped the word "PHOTO" using the Typewriter Alpha Stamp onto vellum and added it to the card.  To finish off the layout, I added some machine stitching to several areas on the page.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out the amazing kits this month in the Citrus Twist Kits shop!

Hello | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends! I'm excited to be back today sharing another layout in my Life Crafted Album.  I used the August Chasing Rainbows kit, the Traveler's Notebook Digital Papers, and the 2x3 Stamp Add-on to create this spread.

Here's a look at the layout:

To begin my spread, I printed a TN paper to use as my background and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock, sized to fit in the Life Crafted album.  I layered patterned papers behind my photo and used the fun acetate pieces from the kit to embellish around the photo.  The acrylic "Hello" piece was perfect for my title, and I used more acetate pieces and a stamped sentiment to complete the title.

For the other page, I used Page Protector #2 that holds 2- 3x4 cards.  I trimmed a patterned paper from the kit to fit in the pocket and adhered two acetate pieces to the paper.  I used a mini Xyron Sticker Maker to adhere the acetate, and it works perfectly for this.  I then added two more acetate hearts to finish off the card.

For the other pocket, I trimmed down the 3x8 bookmark to 3x4.  I typed my journaling, trimmed it into strips, and added it to the card.  I stamped the date using a roller date stamp, and I stamped a phrase to the bottom of the card using the 2x3 Stamp Add-on.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Please share your projects using this kit with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page on Facebook.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Looks Like Joy | Citrus Twist Kits

Hey friends!  I'm excited to be sharing this week's Citrus Twist Kits Sunday Sketch challenge.  I love working with a sketch, and this one is perfection.

Here's a look at the sketch:

Here's the layout I created:

For my project, I decided to create a 6x8 layout.  This was a challenge for me, considering I normally create traveler's notebook pages.  However, by using the sketch as a jumping-off point, this page came together so quickly!

I used the July Life Crafted "Best of This Life" kit, the Stamp Add-on, and the This is Life "Chasing Curiosities Stamp.

To begin the page, I chose a notebook print paper from the kit to use as my background and added some black mist splatters.  This often goes terribly wrong for me, so I like to do this as the first step in my process.

Next, I printed a photo of my mom and me, taken last year at the annual Relay for Life Cancer Breakfast.  We have been attending this event for many years- it's always fun, and a nice way to celebrate another cancer-free year!  I followed the sketch for the placement of my photo, and I used some ephemera pieces, cut aparts, and stamps to frame the photo.

For the title, I chose to use the amazing woodgrain alphas included in the kit.  I think they are my favorite part of this month's kit!  I trimmed the scalloped ephemera piece in half and layered it below the title, creating two rows of scallops.  I love this little detail!  To finish off this area, I added some machine stitching over the woodgrain alphas and to the top of the scallops.

I trimmed an ephemera piece with a notebook paper edge and placed it at the top of the page.  Using my typewriter, I added the journaling to a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it into a tag shape- following the sketch.  Next, I added a puffy cardstock sticker, cut apart element, and an enamel shape.  To finish off the layout, I added a bit more machine stitching.

Thank you for joining me today!  I hope you will play along with this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge and share your project with us on the CTK Facebook Fan Page!
